In the theoretical part there are described generaly all physiological changes that arise in a pregnant woman's body, for example endocrinal, cardiovascular or neural changes etc. This paper further devotes onself to the particular trimesters of pregnancy, delivery and changes in the musculoskeletal system, physiotherapy, mode precautions and contraindications of exercising during the pregnancy. It concerns with anatomical, biomechanical, kinesiological issues, and also with various other types of injuries of knee joint, its consequential examination and different types of treatment including the physiotherapy. Some sections focus more on ligamentum cruciatum anterior, which occur mostly as an injury of football players. This type of damage is discussed in empirical part of this thesis, where is tested the beneficence of physiotherapy. The treatment procedure is applied to professional players in productive age, however, the principles are general and it is possible to use them in common practice.

The individual methodologies from the physiotherapy that may be applied in different combinations during the medial rehabilitation procedures in order to achieve the best possible effects are analysed in more detail.
